History

The Dixon family moved to Porters Farm, Rickinghall in 1952 with their Friesian cowherd to start a dairy farm. In 1972 Roger & Peter Dixon formed the Dixon brothers partnership carrying out agricultural contracting and haulage, but specialising in straw merchanting. In 1988 knowing the potential of straw as an animal bedding if the dust could be removed and seeing thousands of tonnes being burnt each year prompted us to research and develop our own straw processing plant this was the first one of it's kind in the country (and possibly the world).
